Active movement.

1. Muddy Brain Clear Brain-This is used as a visual representation of how the children’s brain works to manage behaviour. When children have a muddy brain, we discuss how they are unable to think clearly and may need to use one of these techniques such as quietly read a book or take some deep breathes. Providing children with techniques to manage emotions when they can’t think clearly and feel they have a muddy brain.

2. Crossing the mid line:

Practicing the skills to cross our mid lines. Children touch their opposite knee with their opposite hand as they march around the room. To develop children’s skills to cross the mid line when participating in musical experiences.

3. Children pretend to be jungle animals. Participating in music and movement to enhance our physical wellbeing.
